- Well, at this point I'm still having the odd problem with outputting an
- Imagine anim to tape. To recap - we're trying to use a Toaster to output a
- series of IFF24 frames rendered in Imagine, using an M-II deck (Panasonic
- AG-65 I think) and we've ordered the Personal SFC.
-
- We got the SFC this morning. It seems to work with the AG-65 well enough
- (well, we haven't ACTUALLY got it working, but I think we will). The
- problem is elsewhere - as people told me, the Personal SFC does have the
- facility to load IFF24s into Toasterpaint for dumping to tape automatically.
- But just like loading them in by hand, Imagine IFF24 files will crash
- Toasterpaint. I suspect this is the extra hunk(s) Impulse puts in to record
- creation date, rendering time and etc. This does not confuse
- properly-written IFF readers such as ADPro, but it will crash Toasterpaint.
- If you load them into ADPro and save them right out with no other
- operations, they'll load into Toasterpaint just fine.
-
- Well, unfortunately, I haven't yet gotten 'round to learning AREXX enough to
- just hack up a script to do this with all 140 frames (guess I get to learn
- tomorrow!). But I've never seen mention of this before, anywhere, and
- noplace in any of the manuals of the relevant software is this noted either.
- I'm using Imagine v2.0 and Toaster 2.0 as well.
-
- I'm definitely outputting IFF24 images in 752x480 from Imagine, too.
