- Tokenring is nice (efficient under high load) but Ethernet is far more
- widely used. A tokenring network card is also about twice the price of
- an Ethernet card.
-
- IBM PC LAN is a f***ing JOKE! I know because I had to work with it for
- years and danced upon its grave when I installed Novell instead. Anyone
- still using PC LAN is living in the dark ages. Anyone wanting to use PC
- LAN has either been carefully sheltered from reality or been conned by IBM
- reps.
-
- Kyle Saunders wrote a SQL server for the Amiga not too long ago and posted
- it to some ftp site. I have not had the chance to check it out, and
- knowing next to nothing about SQL I couldn't give you a valid opinion of it
- at any rate. Perhaps Kyle could tell us where his software is available
- right now.
-
- Solutions? Novell workstation software is available for the Amiga. SQL is
- available for the Amiga, and Ethernet is available for the Amiga. What
- more do you need?
