  28. Portal has just installed racks of direct-dial V.32/V.32bis/V.42 modems
  29. on a new rotary and they are being tested now. I expect them to go
  30. online and be available to all Portal subscribers shortly. There will
  31. be no hourly charge to use these modems - the user just foots the bill
  32. for the phone call, if out of Portal's local dialing area (San Jose,
  33. CA).
