- As I have written here before, there is no modem tax. Compuserve
- figures that since they used the fear of modem tax to get a free
- ride on fees for connection to the local telephone network by
- raising this bogeyman last time, now they are getting really
- bold and trying to get an exemption from any possible fees for
- any enhanced network services.

- Also refer to a rulemaking (RM) number, or they don't know what
- to file your comments with.
