- I am wondering if anyone knows the answer to this:
-
- I connect with my SupraFAX V.32bis modem to the University, whose modems
- are currently V.32 (NOT bis) and V.42bis. I get 9600 LAP-M V.42bis and
- nothing I do seems to be able to get 12000 or even 14400 baud. Is this the
- maximum I can get when connecting to a V.32 modem and will this improve
- when they upgrade to V.32bis?
-
- I've had no trouble with my modem at all and get a fairly consistent 1080
- cps with .lzh files, between 1400 and 1800 cps with plain binaries, and up
- to 2700 cps with ascii text transfers. Just thought you'd like to know.
