  21. Well, a friend & I both have the SupraFAXModem 14.4 modems, and so far we
  22. havn't had much trouble connecting with each other. The only problems we do
  23. have is with file transfers, but I think that's more a problem with the comm
  24. program, NOT the modem. (I use either BackTalk, or Term, and he's using JRComm
  25. and for some reason when I send him files there's always 2-3 errors per file
  26. but when he sends me files there's no problem at all. On text files we get
  27. speeds of about 2600cps, and on binary files we get about 1600cps thruput.

  32. I would say that the modems are a good buy. I use mine every day, and I also
  33. use the GPFax FAX software that came with the modem with NO problems at all.
  34. I know that many folks also like the PPI 14.4k fax modem, but I don't have
  35. any personal experience with it.
