- About two and a half years ago I asked a question here about whether
- or not it was possible to network a little laptop I had without
- a hard drive to the Amiga, something I didn't think should be that dif-
- ficult considering that the Amiga multitasks so well. I received no
- response, no replies, nothing. Evidently it is now possible to
- at least -connect- them. I've always thought that something reminiscent
- of Parnet or Sernet for PC-Amiga connection would be a hell of a utility,
- since quite a few Amigoids have PC's floating around for one reason or
- another. I've taken a look at Twin, and it's OK for what it does, which
- is transfer files, but personally I find it just as easy to dump the
- files on a 720K disk to move them back and forth. Now if the program
- allowed you to actually RUN PC files from an Amiga hard drive, THAT would
- be a hell of a program. Just imagine, one accelerated amiga stuffed with
- serial cards could act as a server to several PC's, without any special
- hardware on either the amiga or the PC's.
-
- I wonder how much more difficult it is to run a program on a pc from an
- Amiga hard drive than to just copy it over.
