- LZ is old news, I'm afraid. While better than LHarc, it is unsupported by its
- author at this point (Jonathan Forbes). My suggestion is to go with a newer
- program called LHA. It's much faster than LZ, creates smaller archives than
- LZ (in some cases), and is fully functional even unregistered. Also, it comes
- with utilities to split archives like you want to do.

- One caveat: if you use 2.04+ and DiskMaster2, you should either look for version
- 1.11 (LHA_E111.RUN) or kluge your system with WildStar and go with version 1.32
- (LHA_E132.RUN). The reason for this is that later versions of LHA do not agree
- with DM2 on wildcard selection, thus rendering recursive backups impossible. I
- chose the former method, which works quite well for me. BTW, the *.RUN archives are
- self-extracting.
