  24. TeX is a word processing language, similar to PostScript, that can produce
  25. good-looking reports and others items of that nature.  Unlike PageStream,
  26. TeX is based off working withing a text file, and imbedded commands to 
  27. perform certain actions, ie setting the font, drawing lines, formatting
  28. an equation.

  30. The TeX on the FF disk is for a 68030 processor.  A more general version
  31. of TeX is PasTeX, and can be found at various FTP sites.  PasTeX (at
  32. last glance) currently includes the PasTeX programs, PreviewFonts, which are
  33. used to view a processed document, and MetaFonts, which is used for
  34. output.  FIG, a graphics package, is also optional available, and can be
  35. used to put figures into TeX documents.  (this all takes 4+2+8+1 disks!)
