  33. Sadly, I think most applications have these filing system weaknesses
  34. hard-coded into them, ie: 10 character filenames, etc. I'm talking
  35. about where you enter a filename into a save-file window here; loading
  36. strangely-named files wouldn't cause any problem. Until any FS exists that
  37. doesn't have this limitation, there's not much incentive for application
  38. writers to allow for more. Of course, RISC-OS NFS doesn't have this
  39. limitation, but then, its number of users can probably be counted on the
  40. thumbs of one hand...

  42. Sorry to prolong this discussion, but I think it's a valid (if minor)
  43. criticism of some RISC OS software.
