  14. Well, I just found an Ethernet card locally, and have some questions and
  15. requests.
  16.  
  17. (1) Someone mentioned here that they had completed a port of /etc/inetd,
  18. the BSD Internet master daemon.  I have tried this (using the
  19. 4.3bsd-net) sources, but failed miserably.  Has this code indeed been
  20. ported to the Unix PC, and if so, where can I get it?  (Or can send me a
  21. copy)

  23. (2) Has anyone ported a more "modern" ftpd and tftpd (FTP daemon)
  24. Ideally, the perfect ftpd would be the one running on many of the major
  25. archive sites (like uunet), that displays text when you cd into certain
  26. directories, and prints the last-modified date of README files you
  27. encounter.  (this is running and is available at wuarchive.wustl.edu, I
  28. think)  But if that one hasn't been ported, the one from the 4.3bsd-net
  29. sources would be adequate.

  31. (3) Where can one get an Ethernet transceiver for this card?  And how
  32. much do they run?

  34. (4) Has anyone compiled either TinyMUD or TinyMUCK for this machine?  If
  35. so, could you send me source or diffs (full source preferred)?  Also
  36. have you succeeded in porting any of the MUD user-interface stuff, like
  37. TinyFugue (tf) or tinytalk?

  39. (5) Has anyone successfully  ported and ran NNTP (Network News Transfer
  40. Protocol)?  I tried, but was unsuccessful (it used some BSDism's that we
  41. don't have, not even with the Ethernet libraries)  If you have it, could
  42. you please send me source?

  44. (6) Last, but not least, does anyone have any other interesting software
  45. for this card?  (POP, talk/talkd, etc.)?  Wher can I get it, or can you
  46. send me a copy?
