- Yesterday, I obtained a 512k card and attempted to put it in my 7300. As I
- have a fully populated Combo card (1.5 meg), I wired pins 29 and 28 of the
- board to VCC to use (virtual) slot 4.
-
- Were these the correct pins? I'm sorry to say I didn't do my homework and
- look for the correct documents to follow, but if this is incorrect I would
- muchly appreciate guidance to the path of correct 7300 hardware modification.
-
- As of now, when I insert the board in slot 3, the computer refuses to boot,
- and not even the fans start to spin. When I take it out, it works OK. If it's
- not the pins, as I suspect it is, what could cause this type of thing to occur?
- The other two slots are occupied by two combo cards, one 1.5 meg and the other
- 0.0 meg (No memory).
-
- Thanks,
-
