  29. The IEEE P1003 (POSIX) meeting scheduled for October 19-23, 1992 will be
  30. held in Utrecht in the Netherlands. A major goal of this meeting is to
  31. enable participation in the POSIX standards development process by
  32. interested parties in Europe who may be unable to attend the meetings in
  33. the US. The meetings will be held at two major hotels in Utrecht, the
  34. Holiday Inn and the Scandic Crown, which are within 50 meters walking
  35. distance from one another.

  37. HOTEL INFORMATION: The Holiday Inn and the Scandic Crown are both
  38. located in the center of Utrecht, near the central railway station
  39. and within walking distance of all the major local attractions. The
  40. IEEE has arranged with the hotels for a block of rooms to be
  41. available to meeting attendees at the following rates, which are
  42. inclusive of service, VAT, and 5% city tax, and exclusive of buffet
  43. breakfast:

  58. Attached is a hotel reservation form that can be used for either the
  59. Holiday Inn or the Scandic Crown. After you fill in the form, you
  60. can mail or fax it to the hotel of your choice. Rooms are available
  61. on a first-come, first-served basis. If your first choice hotel
  62. cannot accomodate you, your form will be automatically transferred
  63. to the other one. Allow three weeks for confirmation. You may
  64. gaurantee your reservation by by credit card or check/money order.
  65. If you gaurantee by check or money order, you must mail or courier
  66. in the money with your form. Do not send in checks/money orders
  67. without the hotel reservation form attached. For those of you
  68. gauranteeing your rooms by credit card, you will not be charged on
  69. your credit card unless you "no-show" or fail to cancel your room
  70. reservation one full day before your anticipated arrival.

  75. does not have rooms blocked at other hotels, so there are no special

  80. through Friday noon. There will be a special Information and Status
  81. session for new attendees on Monday from 10AM until noon. Following is

  109. 1003.9 (FORTRAN), 1201.1 (Windowing API) and 1224 (X.400 APIs). Note,
  110. however, that the chair of the 1201.1 group will present the status of
  111. the committee's work in a BOF session 4P-6P on Monday.

  113. MEETING REGISTRATION AND FEE: The registration fee for the meeting
  114. is USD 200. Pre-registration with the IEEE will be possible starting
  115. in August. On-site registration at the meeting will also be possible.
  116. Both US dollars and local currency will be accepted for on-site
  117. registration. Further details regarding registration will be posted
  118. in August.
