- Hi,
-
- I'm looking for PD source for a reverse telnet or telnetd
- that would allow configuring a target ip address, set up
- the pty and provide/exec login to/for the target endpoint.
- In our case the target is a communications server (150
- of them actually), that will execute a macro logging in
- the user upon receiving the connect and the login prompt.
- The purpose is both security and ease of use for the user.
- We'll handle illegal ip/ethernet address combinations
- with network management software.
-
- The intended os is Dell 2.1 SVR4 Unix. Something done using
- TL/I would be preferrable. Just the same, we'll take whatever
- we can get (bsd4.x & sockets, or whatever), and do the port.
-
- If this particular application is not available, what might
- be a workable (read hackable) alternative? I am unfamiliar
- with how to handle pty's and prefer not to learn by doing this
- from scratch.
-
- Any help would be appreciated,
-
- Thanks in advance,
-
