- As the subject implies, I am looking for a loan amortization program. I have
- searched through archie already. The programs that I found do not meet my
- requirements. They all ask for the amount of the loan, interest rate and the
- period of the loan. Then they work out the monthly payment and show me a
- schedule of payments for the duration of the loan. I need more features than
- this. To list a few extra features that I need:
-
- o If paying more than the minimun required payment, what is the
- effect on the loan? How much time and interest do I save?
- o Impact of making lump sum payment.
- o How much do I save in time and money if I repay the loan more
- frequently?
-
- For those who familiar with 'Amortize It!', it is the kind of program that I
- am looking for. Unfortunately, 'Amortize It!' runs on PC only. I need the
- program to be able to run under Unix (Sun in particular). I prefer (not
- necessary though) to obtain the sources so that I can make a few local
- adjustments such as loan offset account.
-
- I will be grateful if anyone let me know where to obtain the program.
- Thank you very much.
