- Tandem terminals can typically only talk block mode. Telnet cannot.

- This is incorrect. The same principles that allow TN3270 allow you
- to use Telnet for any other block-mode terminal (IBM's 5250, for
- example). In fact, I've heard rumors that Tandem was working on an
- emulator that runs over Telnet - I don't know if it ever became a
- product, or whose TCP/IP stacks it supports.
