- If I telnet to port 25 (on a Sun), type a command, then quit, the
- connection is shown by a netstat for over a minute. Once I quit, the
- status of the connection is TIME_WAIT. If I telnet again, this time
- redirecting input from a file that contains the same commands, the
- connection opens and closes in about a second. Why? Ever since I was
- a little Unix tyke I was told that redirecting input from a file was
- the same as typing. I feel so... so lost. ;-) Anyway, if someone
- could explain, I'd appreciate it.
