- I once set up an IP-over-X.25-over-DECNET-over-IP link. The X.25
- router was located in Melbourne and we are in Santa Cruz, California.
- Round-trip-time was something like 2 seconds on a good day. Sometimes
- it took up to three minutes. I would have been faster to call up
- and have someone read the datagram to you.

- Currently we are working on IP-over-email using the MIME standard.
- Thank god for the slow-start algorithm. The thing should be useable
- with batch FTP. Telnet's right out. The three-way handshake is a
- royal pain. This is defintely a back-burner project.
