- No. that is, depending on what Mail you are running ... if it is TCP/IP
- based then
- yes, you do, but otherwise if you just have cc:Mail, or daVinci mail

- If you have a large internetwork with tcp/ip then someone needs to assign
- unique IP
- addresses, unless you use server addressing. If these are the only tcp/ip
- devices,
- you can be somewhat arbitrary about the whole thing. But, if you mail
- doesn't
- need tcp/ip, and you aren't going to use telnet, ftp, nuntius, newreader
- etc from the
- Mac, then you don't need it.
