- I have a question regarding implementation of batch queues on a 3100 VAX
- Workstation running 5.4 with MultiNet or TCP/IP services for VMS (version
- 2.0). What I am trying to accomplish is the following:
-
- Create several batch or print queues depending on the data stream
- (e.g. HPGL, HPPCL, HPPS). However I want the queue to direct
- itself to an AIX or SCO print server que (obviously on TCP/IP)
-
- I am currently running PCSA (Pathworks for DOS version 4.0) via
- decnet. Have had no problems implementing queues on the 3100
- for direct output to Printers connected via DECNET. However, the
- company's standard transport is slowly transfering to TCP/IP and need
- to figure out the smoothest implementation of a VAX QUE directed
- to a Print Server BOX running Unix.
-
- Is there an easy answer to this question? Running MultiNet, I have en-
- countered the CONFIGURE /PRINTERS command. Is that a step in the right
- direction? Is there a similar configuration for TCP/IP Services For VMS.
-
- I would Appreciate the response.
