  15. I am looking for a ".com" or other executable to provide a "vacation" 
  16. utility similar to what exists for MH mail on UNIX.
  17.  
  18. The utility must:
  19.     1)    Auto-answer all incoming mail with a prepared text
  20.  
  21.     2)    Leave all incoming mail marked as "NEWMAIL"
  22.         I want to see them when I get back.  ** IMPORTANT **
  23.  
  24. In other words, it must be able to look inside the header of the incoming 
  25. mail, read the "From" field into a reply field and read in the prepared 
  26. text file for mailing.  All this without marking the article as read.

  28. The text file would say something like:
  29.     I am away on vacation and will answer your mail upon my return.
  30.  
  31.     Here are some people to contact in my absence: etc.

  34. I have looked through the Mail program's help utility and saw nothing even 
  35. approaching what I am looking for.
