- Yes, it added 1 day. And this can mess up any jobs you have SCHEDULEd,
- and put wrong date on some files.

- I disagree with some of the above. I was going to wait until later, to
- add my 2 cents to this discussion in a more responsible fashion. We are
- at this very moment in the midst of a lot of troubles going from 5.4 to
- 5.5-1; we are awaiting a fax to fix the que manager problem.>
- This is disconnected, but some other problems:
- 1) If you copy over the files from cdrom to your own disk, they don't tell
- you that you also have to copy over decw055.* for windows; after losing
- several hours we finally ended up tailoring them on later (but our
- workstations still don't come up correctly).
- 2) I understand (?) that the que manager problem is really caused
- by incorrect instructions during the upgrade.
- 3) We had troubles with page and swap files. Part of this IMHO is due
- to a strange way DEC has of poorly spreading out the mount commands among
- places like sylogicals, sypagswpfiles, systartup_v5, etc.
- 4) Tremendous troubles with sysgen parameters.
- Of course many of you will disagree; but upgrading a computer is like
- working on your car; it never works right. Things break; you drop
- screws and they roll under the center of the car.
