  15.     There are presently three DECtalk devices (TDTC1, DTC03, and the
  16.     PC ISA DTC07), and two DECvoice devices (`tip-and-ring' DTC04
  17.     and the T1-based DTC05; both of which contain the DECtalk speech
  18.     synthesizer) available.
  19.     There are presently three DECtalk devices -- The DTC1, DTC03, and
  20.     the PC ISA-bus DTC07) available. Two DECvoice devices -- the tip-
  21.     and-ring-based standard telephone line DTC04 and the T1-based DTC05.
  22.     Both DECvoice devices contain the DECtalk speech synthesizer, in
  23.     addition to voice synthesis, standard speaker independent isolated
  24.     word voice recognition, user-programmable isolated word recognition,
  25.     and optional continous word speaker independent voice recognition)

  28.     The PC ISA-based DTC07 has a US list price of $1195.  (This may
  29.     not be the most up-to-date price on the DTC07.)

  31.     The list of escape sequences used for operating the DECtalk device
  32.     is rather long for a network posting.  If you are using OpenVMS
  33.     (nee VMS), the OpenVMS DTK Run-Time Library can handle the escape
  34.     sequence interface for you.  If for whatever reason you are using
  35.     the escape sequence interface, you will want to obtain a copy of
  36.     the DECtalk programming manual:
