- I am trying to compile the 'native' port of GCC. I tracked down a copy
- of the originals of 2.1 (most sites carry 2.2.2 only now) and applied
- the patches from the OS/2 port. However, I can't get it to make
- properly using GNU make.
-
- The makefile looks half complete, as if the configure script didn't
- quite work. I've fixed some things manually but I'm getting a bit
- tired of it. Thre README file was woefully inadequate (all three lines
- of it) omitting some important stuff like the machine description and
- the correct aux-output file to use.
-
- Does anyone have a compilable version? Or at least a working makefile?
-
- These sources really should be available. It is technically a breach
- of the GPL not to. If I can get it working I will put them up for ftp.
- The main point of all this is to bring the compiler up to 2.2.2, but I
- want to get the original make working first.
-
- Any help will be appreciated.
