- I have a problem with an OS/2 2.0 PC, running the Netware Requester for OS/2
- 2.0 (The actual version you have to pay money for...). The basic problem is
- that it doesn't seem to want to work when there is no file server on its side
- of a cisco router. DOS workstations boot up fine and dandy, but the OS/2
- machine gets a timeout talking to server BLAH whenever it boots, and from then
- on nothing about the netware requester seems to work. The exact same machine
- works fine when connected to a network segment that had a novell file server on
- it.
-
- Has anybody else seen this problem? WHat is differnt about the requester for
- OS/2 from the DOS shells that causes this problem. Is it the requesters fault
- or the Cisco?
-
- PS The cisco is running 8.2(1) or thereabouts while we wait for 9.0(1) or 9.1
- to arrive. Will 9.0 or 9.1 cause this problem to go away?
