- Well, I just got a new Trident video card (8900c w/1meg), and I have run
- into a couple of problems. First of all, I am now experiencing the 'Black
- Icon' disease for some reason. And I had already applied the patches...Hmmmm.
- Does anyone know what the problem could be here? I checked the file sizes
- to be sure that I have the new files and I sure do...Aaaargh.
-
- The other problem has to do with the virtual desktop drivers. This sounds like
- a neat idea and I wanted to try it out. So I got the drivers, read the readme
- file and edited the svgadata.pmi file as instructed, then rebooted. Things
- seemed to be going fine as my desktop opened up off the bottom of the screen,
- not unexpectedly. But I started to sweat when I realized that my pointer was
- no longer in the same dimension as my desktop. Boy, it sure was fun trying to
- get a screen open so I could reload the standard 800x600 256c driver. Sheesh.
- Am I missing something here too?
-
- Thanks for the help.
