- Hi, sorry if this seems out of date, but I am off the net right
- now, and can only afford to check email by modem. I have just installed
- OS/2 2.0 on the following system:
- 386DX-40
- 8MB RAM
- AMI Bios (Dec 91)
- 106MB Seagate HD
- Tseng ET4000 1MB Graphics
- SVGA Monitor
- Boot manager is installed to allow boot from either a 15MB DOS 5 partition
- or a 90MB HPFS partition.
-
- Now, installation was OK, but on running I have the following problems:
-
- 1) When I use the top left button on a Window, with either mouse
- button, the system hangs. The pointer still moves, but no other part of the
- system works.
-
- 2) When I open up a full screen DOS or Win OS/2 session, the monitor
- goes mad, and I need several reboots to get it working again.
-
- 3) I am sick of 640*480 when my monitor will do 800*600, where can I get
- drivers for this resolution (pref 256 colours, but 16 will do).
-
- 4) Lastly, I need a comms proggie that'll do ANSI & VT102, and recognise
- a 2400 baud modem card set up as comm4.
-
- Any answers to the above would be very welcome. Please by email though,
- as I can't afford phone time to read the group itself right now....
-
-
- Lee BOhan.
