- You can refresh the entire desktop. To do this copy all of
- your *.ini's (in the "OS2" and root directory of your OS/2 boot
- disk) to a floppy or a safe place. You'll also want to copy
- the config.sys and autoexec.bat to a safe place. You'll have
- to boot from floppy to copy two of the *.ini's since they'll
- be in use by the system.
-
- Now to rebuild the entire desktop, you press Alt-F1 right
- after your BIOS sends out an okay beep. Do this until you
- fill the keyboard buffer. If you use boot manager, select
- OS/2 and then press Alt-F1 until the keyboard buffer fills
- again.
-
- Once the restore is done, refresh and shut down. Now restore
- all of the files you backed up.
