- All the more reason not to buy PC Week. To put it simply:
-
- NT's architecture, or operations specifications, are quite extensive and
- in order to achieve some results, others such as "complete DOS
- compatibility" must be discarded. Security and other measures were
- addressed.
-
- PC Week appears to be under the hallucination that an Operating System
- can cover all the bases. In fact, PC Week would like to see:
-
- The Killer OS
- -------------
- This baby will run everything!
-
- 1. Badly behaved DOS applications.
- 2. VCPI/DPMI/386-control applications.
- 3. MAC System 7, 6, 5, 4...
- 4. DOS 1.0 up.
- 5. OS/2 1.x, 2.x
- 6. Unix
- 7. Name your Operating System
-
- Only then, would PC Week have an unbiased article.
