- For some time I have been running OS/2 2.0 on a 486/33, with 630 Mbyte
- disk and a Mouse Systems mouse. The disk was formatted to 528 Mbytes to
- get around the 1024 cylinder limit of previous OS/2 versions.
- Lately I decided to reformat the disk. I installed the boot manager, 30 Mbyte
- primary DOS partition, and 600 Mbyte OS/2 HPFS partition. The system
- has installed fine, including the printer driver. However, upon the subsequent
- boot, the screen showed the installation screen (as after loading first 5
- diskettes), and the mouse pointer froze. I reinstalled the system again, and
- after the reboot after the 5th diskette, the mouse pointer was working,
- but froze soon when the installation window appeared.
- Previously, I have never had any problem with the base OS/2 installation.
- Could it be the HPFS system that is causing the trouble? Or perhaps
- too large ESDI disk is not quite supported.
