- From my own experience using Facelift for Windows under OS/2, I recommend
- that you don"t use it. Its perfectly possible to use it - I used it for
- a month or so with Word for Windows, both full screen and seamless Windows,
- and it never gave me any troubles save one: Printing is terribly slooow.
- Using ATM printing generally takes < 1 min per page; using Facelift printing
- generally takes > 15 min per page. The reason why I originally switched
- from ATM to Facelift is that the latter produces better quality printout,
- especially in small font sizes, but the difference in quality is only
- marginal and a subjective matter, so I decided to get rid of the intolerable
- printing time from Facelift and switched back to ATM. I addition there
- are tons of PD ATM fonts available whereas the pricetag of just one
- Facelift font is cripling.
-
- If you after all decide to stick with Facelift, you should be sure to
- disable ATM from the ATM control panel. Then shutdown Windows and restart
- a full WINOS2 session. You should then install Facelift from your diskettes.
- Shutdown WINOS2 and restart. Finally from all your Windows apps reselect
- your printer to make the Facelift fonts appear in your app.
- Good luck - it worked for me.
