- I used Fastback 1.xx and 2.xx happily for 8 years in DOS.
- I moved to 3.xx, found it wouldn't work under OS/2 (possibly
- for the reasons mentioned in earlier articles) but found it would
- backup ok in DOS.
-
- I recently switched machines and discovered to my horror that
- restoration was erratic! After much hair pulling, I moved to
- Norton Backup 2.0 for DOS, found it much more intuitive than Fastback 3.xx
- and, best of all, it works.
-
- Hopefully, good OS/2 backup packages will come along one of these days.
- In the meanwhile, I am extremely pleased with Norton Backup in DOS.
- (Yes, I paid about $100 to make the move, but it's a small price for
- peace of mind.)
