- Hi, netexperts!
- I'm haveing troubles with NCSA telnet and OS/2.
- I've used the NCSA Telnet without any problems under MS DOS.
- I have a packet driver for my Gateway Communication G/Ethernet 16
- card. Now I've installed IBM OS/2 and I want to run Telnet is a DOS
- session. I cannot use the packet driver in OS, but I can load
- LAN protocol manager (protman.sys), NDIS driver and NDIS-to-Packet convertor.
- This combination was tested under DOS and also works.
- When I try to run Telnet in OS/2 DOS session, the drivers are loaded
- Ok, and Telnet can find the packet driver.
- If I run just telbin.exe without parameters, it comes in server mode,
- like it was with DOS. But all attempts to conect to any host fail:
- "Cannot connect with <address>"
- I've noticed that whed Telnet displays the Ethernet address in DOS,
- it is "0:0:86:e4:df:fa". Under OS it is "00:00:00:00:86:86".
- Is it possible to correct the address or do something else to
- fix it?
-
- P.S Kermit 3.11 works fine under DOS (through the same TCP/IP),
- but also cannot connect in DOS virtual machine of OS/2.
-
- Thank you in advance,
-
