- Hi world,
-
- Please excuse my ignorance if this has been discussed, but I need
- advice from net.knowledge :-)
-
- I have installed OS2 as HPFS in partition 3 of my hard disk. I also
- have DOS installed in partition 1. Is there any trick that I can
- use so that I can boot from both DOS and OS2 partitions?
-
- I know how to change partition ID so that DOS partition can be bootable
- after OS2 installation, but the problem seems to be that if I marked
- partition 1 as a DOS partition, OS2 think that partition 1 is drive C:
- and tries to get files from there, and fails. Is it possible that I can
- change config.sys to instruct OS2 to get files from partition 3 instead ?
- I would like to know whether this is possibe before jump into changing
- my config.sys.
-
- BTW, BOOT manager is not an option because I need all 4 partitions.
- Also dual boot is not good because I want to use HPFS.
-
- Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Please post here if you have any
- suggestion.
-
- Cheers,
-
