- Help! I installed the Graphics Ultra the other day. I am using a
- NEC Multisync XL and no documentation. I reinstall OS/2 for the
- 8514/a (I have read that to get the fonts correct you must do a
- reinstall instead of using the selective install).
-
- Does anyone know what the setup should be for the Graphics/Ultra
- and a NEC XL. ATI didn't seem to know.
-
- Anyhow, my problem. Since I installed the ATI and OS/2 8514
- support I have had intermittent problems with DOS window sizing.
- Sometimes I can set up a window to the size that I want but
- mostly I can't.
- PROBLEM
- EXAMPLE: I set up a communications program that is sized to about
- a third of my screen. So far so good. The next time i click on
- the icon it may be like I set it up or it may be a much smaller
- window. If I click on the maximize button on the upper right hand
- corner it stays the same size but moves to the upper left hand
- corner of the desktop. It only displays a portion of the program
- yet has no scroll bars. I can't size it except to a smaller
- window.
-
- HINT? When I can set it up correctly (it never stays) under the
- font selection on the left menu.
- =============
- Font size 20*12
- sizes (rows & cols):
- window 25*80
- screen 38*85
- ==============
- when it craps out
- ==============
- font size 20*12
- sizes (rows & cols):
- window 12*40
- screen 38*85
- ===============
- How can I make the window larger and keep it that way.
- I would appreciate any help, this thing is driving me bananas. I
- don't really want to run all my DOS apps in full screen.
-
- BTW: this happens when OS/2 is set up as a 8514 or VGA. It did
- not happen with my old ATI Wonder card but this could be a
- coincidence.
-
- Please help
