- Sorry you were offended by my light hearted and sage reply. I'll try
- again.
-
- The nowhere directory that is created as part of the OS/2 2.0
- installation process is used to hold in its extended attributes
- information about printer objects. This includes plotters as well. The
- actual driver code is kept in other directories.
-
- One can show this relationship by deleting a printer object or by just
- begining the delete process. Note: if the "delete conformation" option
- has been turned off, then selecting the DELETE function from the printer
- objects' pop-up menu will remove the object without affording the
- opportunity to read in the delete conformation dialog box that the
- object about to be deleted is "in" the nowhere directory.
-
- I discovered this printer object - nowhere directory relationship while
- adding and deleting some printer and plotter drivers. More information
- may be found (I think) in volume 5 of the Red Books, but I've not gotten
- that far.
-
- Hope this help, Tom. Have a better day!
