- I think we may have it wrong: Dvorak does not like OS/2, he only likes
- controversy. IMO Dvorak has "gotten it wrong" so many times he is not
- worth reading. He's not a bad writter as muckrackers go, but his
- articles lack evidence of any technical understanding.
-
- I don't look for much of a change until the rags get the word that in
- the corporate world at least, one OS/2 sale implies multiple licenses
- and that "killer apps" are not necessarly 32bit versions of Lotus, MS,
- etal, but corporate developed Customer Service Systems, ticket sales and
- airline reservation systems, banking and financial administrative
- systems, hospital and health care delivery support systems. It is these
- applications that need and can benefit from the features that OS/2 has
- offered for several years now. The new features of OS/2 2.0 only
- enhance its value.
-
- I am grateful that the cost of technology (balanced against my
- checkbook) makes it possible for me, as an individual user, to enjoy the
- performance, protection, and convenience of OS/2 2.0 on my home machine.
-
- Happy OS/2ing it (at home, soon to replace MS Windows 3.1 at work)
-
- My views and I admit it. Don't know about MITRE.
