- Well, I run OS/2 at home and at work we run Win 3.1 for the multi-media
- capability. It's *really* annoying to use 3.1 after use OS/2 2.0. Windows
- really suffers from poor dos emulation. Under OS/2 you can start copying
- a floppy disk to hard disk and still continue with other applications. I
- tried the same thing today in windows and Windows comes to a standstill
- everytime it accesses the floppy. The other thing I really miss from
- Windows is the tools in OS/2 productivity folder. I can probably find
- similar apps for windows by browsing through ftp.cica.indiana.edu, but
- with OS/2 they're all there with out having to go internet hunting.
-
- I have found two annoying problems with OS/2. One is the Trident
- drivers are really, really buggy (Not IBM's fault, this is the last
- time I by Trident though). I'm almost ready to switch back to the
- generic VGA ones from IBM. The other problem is that PM Terminal
- is buggy. It causes garbage to be scribbled all over my screen
- when I connect to the University.

- Do yourself a favor. Spend $160 and get an extra 4m of ram. OS/2
- theoretically runs in 4M, but constant swapping would make the system
- unbearable.
