- A customer number is assigned to you the first time you buy an IBM
- product. For some reason, though, the aren't assigning them to people
- who upgrade to OS/2. (Are they assigning them to people who buy it
- directly?)

- When you have the number, you use it on future orders and when calling
- for help. It allows them to keep track of who's who. It also allows
- them to keep a history of your problems, etc.
