-
- Here's a few more. I have a generic Tseng ET4k, so I guess I can't
- whinge too much at Orchid :-) I've only tested 1024x16 and 800x256.
-
- Problems with 1024x16:
-
- 1. When locked up, the mouse pointer moves around, not the quite pretty
- (well alright, lousy) padlock. This used to work.
- 2. Lots of wrong fonts in the Scheme edit dialog box :-( This used to
- be alright too.
- 3. For menus, 'selection bacground' colour is used instead of 'menu
- highlight background'. This has been a problem with all the Orchid
- drivers so far - it ruins the cutsey 3d effect on menus.
-
- Problems with 800x256:
-
- 1. It keeps dying on me. I'm using HPFS, so I guess this could be the
- problem described in readme.1st. However, I don't think it is
- reasonable to expect all Orchid owners to use FAT (HPFS was one of the
- reasons I bought OS/2).
- 2. Point 3 as above. Like I said, this has been a problem with all the
- drivers.
- 3. I like the big icons in 1024x16, and in that resolution, the buttons
- in the title bar now work properly. But why oh why did Orchid cripple
- the 800x256 by giving it big icons and non-fitting buttons? Put it back
- like it was before. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
-
- Hope this helps. I really like OS/2, but I'd like it even better if
- these problems were fixed.
-
- Daniel.
