- That's because you only have 5MB. IBM recommends nothing less than
- 6MB for HPFS use. You'll get much better performance if you up the
- memory by at least one more megabyte, or if you re-format your disks
- for the FAT system and remove the HPFS driver from CONFIG.SYS

- Personally, I'd insist that any OS/2 users have at least 6MB
- (preferably 8). The memory is relatively cheap, and if you decide to
- upgrade the motherboard anyway, you can (usually) transfer the SIMMs
- over to the new system.
