- I successfully installed OS/2 and installed a CMD file in the startup folder
- that would redirect LPT1 to COM1, using the following command:
- spool /d:lpt1 /o:com1
- This was to accomodate some DOS programs that can print to LPT1 only (our
- printer is on COM1). This worked fine until I deleted the printer object that
- was created during installation. Now I have recreated the printer object using
- the template object. Printing to COM1 works fine in OS/2 and DOS, but now
- when I try to print to LPT1 in DOS I get the following message:
- The printer driver file is in error or not present. Please reinstall
- your printer driver. [PMV6017]
- Did I delete some driver along with the original printer object, and if so,
- how can I reinstall it without reinstalling the system?
- Thanks.
