- I am interested in adding a SCSI hard disk to my system. I'd like to
- know about successes and failures from people who have been using
- an Adaptec 1542B controller with a SCSI hard drive; an IDE drive; and
- running under OS/2 accessing both drives at the same time.
-
- A friend has attempted to do this with an Ultrastor controller, but the
- system crashed if he accessed both the IDE and the SCSI at the same time
- (try loading a program from one drive when the swapfile is on the other
- drive).
-
- I also want to know if this controller works well without the INT 13
- drivers. This same person switched to a Future Domain controller,
- and got a trashed hard disk because of bugs in the drivers.
-
- Basically, I want to make sure that this will work without as much
- trouble as my friend had.
