- Has anyone tried making a boot disk (as opposed to the usual install
- disk then disk 1 then Esc key)? I grabbed the bootdisk.txt file from
- ftp-os2 site, and followed it to make myself a bootdisk. I tried
- booting from it and OS/2 booted up just fine. But when I tried to do a
- "dir" on C:\, I get the error.....
-
- SYS00026: The specified disk or disketter cannot be accessed.

- I'm using the Boot Manager for DOS 5 and OS/2, and at this point Drive C:
- is my OS/2 system partition formated as HPFS. Now if I ran DOS last so that
- my DOS system partition was my last bootable partition so that when I boot
- from floppy, my Drive C: would still be my DOS system partition which
- is FAT, I can read it ok using this OS/2 bootdisk. It's just if I ran OS/2
- last so that my OS/2 HPFS is now Drive C:, booting from this OS/2
- bootdisk now, it doesn't recognize this HPFS or some problem like this.
-
- Has anyone been successful with a bootdisk? Thanks.
-
- Thomas.
