- I usually avoid following up my own posts but in light of the mail I
- have been recieving, I think it necessary. My original post
- regarding problems I was having with os/2 was NOT meant as a plea
- for help (otherwise I would have been much more specific and
- provided hardware information). Instead it was a query, are other
- people out there having problems with os/2 crashing for no
- particular reason (other than you did something somewhat nasty. For
- example today I ran a modem program, system editor, borland c++, and
- a dos window all at the same time and the system went D O W N (i.e.
- I got the 'call your local system representative message')). Now if I
- could repeat this little trick I would come and say 'well why is it
- happening?'. But if I were to go into os/2 right now and do it again
- I have a 50/50 chance something would happened. Therefore I chose to
- ask a difference question than 'how do I take care of this.' What my
- original post was asking was:Are other people, in general, having
- problems with os/2 crashing on them? I want to gauge the general
- 'success' rate with os/2 to see if my crash-a-day is because I have
- something wacked on my system or because thats just os/2. (Hell I
- used to think my crash-an-hour on windows was abnormal till I
- started talking with other windows users and realized it was par for
- the course).
