- I was hoping some of y'all could give me some advice on
- configuring a BBS system to run OS/2 2.0. The system is a
- 486/33 8Meg with a SCSI drive system (500+Meg..). SVGA, etc.
- It's running Vision-X and using the Fossil Driver X00.SYS
- and XU.EXE for communications. The problem is, is that the system
- is nearly unusable during uploads. During downloads, it's fine.
- It has a 16550 with OS/2's mode BUFFER=ON. Should IDLESensiticy
- be turned down, to reduce key-polling? Suggestions?
- Also, what does the DOS setting HW-COM mean? It doesn't have
- a little description.
-
- Thanx,
- Al Kemp
