- I'm using Stata v. 2.05 and it runs like a dream. Why not call STATA?
- They're quite good. Or, do "open, settings, session, dos settings".
- Then click on dos_version and at the bottom of the list enter
- "stata.exe,5,0,255" without the quotes of course. The docs say somewhere
- that you should use this option--which tells OS/2 that when stata.exe
- boots up it should emulate dos 5.0, and to tell stata dos 5.0 is running
- no matter how many times it asks (I think this is the logic)---only when
- you need to tell a program another version of dos is running. IE, the docs
- say 5.0 is always perfectly emulated. But not true: I have a dictionary
- program that was garbage until I tried this.
