- I can't say. I use Procomm Plus 2.0 in a DOS windows to connect to a
- generic 2400 baud modem, and I never had a problem. Could the 7171 be
- keeping RTS low? I don't think my modem would respond if RTS wasn't
- high on my machine.

- It might also be the serial card. Can you check the RTS during a DOS
- connection? The OS/2 com drivers seem to use all the signals they
- get, while DOS leaves things to the apps.
