- Actually, both used to deelop for OS/2. Lotus was one of the first
- vendors to release OS/2 apps. Remember 1-2-3/G? Well, they now have
- 1-2-3, AmiPro, Freelance Graphics, and cc:Mail for OS/2. They've been
- available for over a year. How do I know? A Lotus rep told me at an
- advertising seminar.
-
- In my opinion, Borland probably stayed out until now, because of
- Micosoft's presence in the compiler market. For a small system, two
- compiler vendors is too many. (IBM's C/2 was really Microsoft C in
- another package) Now that MS has removed themselves from the picture,
- Borland now can step in with a relative margin of safety.
