- I am trying to use Procomm Plus in a DOS window to connect to an IBM 7171
- protocol converter. Everythig works fine until I connect to the 7171 and
- then the communications screen seems dead. I hooked up a RS232 breakout box
- and noticed that the RTS lead was not active. There is my problem. I pulled
- the RTS lead high and everything was OK. There are many other users that are
- planning to switch to OS/2 and I do not want (or think I should have to)
- build new cable for all these users. My question is:
-
- Is this a bug in OS/2?
- Is the serial card I am using the problem (It works OK when booted
- from DOS?
- Is there a patch for this problem?
